Best Nigerian Browser Games

Nigeria has a fast-growing shelf of games you open from a link: danfo runs, a mama put, business sims and life stories, most of them new in 2026. Here are seven we opened and checked on 7 October 2026, each in a short paragraph, with Mai Suya among them.

What is a Nigerian browser game?

It is a game set in Nigeria, often by a Nigerian developer, that you play straight from a web page. You tap a link, the game opens on your phone or computer, and there is no app store and nothing to install. Most of the new ones are set in Lagos, and a few reach further.

What changed in 2026 was the link: a game shared on social media that opens with one tap, on the phone people already hold, with no store in between.

The games below are the ones we could open and play, in no order of merit.

Which Naija game puts you behind the wheel of a danfo?

Danfo Run, a driving game, was first shared as Lagos Run. Your route runs from Ojuelegba to Yaba: pull into the yellow box to take on passengers, set each one down at the right stop for the fare, and jump the barriers when traffic locks up. A live leaderboard keeps the top drivers.

Is there a Naija street game about food?

Mama Put Rush sets you up at a busy mama put in Obalende. Customers want jollof, dodo and the rest, and they will not wait long, so the game is about speed at the pots. It opens with one tap; making an account is only needed to keep a backup.

Which Nigerian online game do you play with other people?

Surviving Nigeria is a shared map of Lagos built on OpenStreetMap streets, where everyone online moves through the same city at once. You choose a name and walk in, with no account to make first. A leaderboard ranks the players, so other people are part of the game.

Which game is about building a business in Lagos?

Lagos Tycoon is a persistent business world. You begin in a face-me-I-face-you and grow through hustles, plots that pay rent, businesses and trading, while other players do the same around you. You can look around as a guest, but an account is needed to play.

Which game about Nigeria tells a whole life in choices?

Naija Hustle is a story game, and it has no map at all. It hands you ₦50,000 at 21 and a choice of paths, from an office job to freelancing, a business or content, and each decision moves the story on until you reach 30. It is a beta, saves in the browser and needs no account.

Is there a browser game set in Ibadan?

Ibadan Life is a property and life game on the real streets of Ibadan. You claim a plot, work through the papers for your land and rent space in the city, with other players doing the same. It needs an account, and its page says players must be 18 or older.

Where does Mai Suya fit among them?

Mai Suya is ours, so read this one with that in mind. You run a roadside suya stall in Lagos at night: buy the meat, keep the charcoal hot, flip each skewer in time and serve the queue, across five places from Agege to Victoria Island. It is single-player, saves in the browser and needs no account.

It is the one game here built around the grill rather than the plate, and its places open with what the stall earns, so a night at Agege is where everyone begins.

Mai Suya on a phone: order cards along the top, skewers on the grill, the heat buttons, the plate and the meat tray Mai Suya on a computer: order cards across the top, the grill in the middle, the heat buttons and the plate on the right
Mai Suya: a suya stall in Lagos, one night at a time.

How do you play a Nigeria mobile game free in your phone’s browser?

Open the game's link in Chrome on Android or Safari on an iPhone, and it runs like any web page. Adding it to your home screen gives it an icon and its own window. Your progress usually lives in that browser, so keep using the same one and avoid clearing its data.

  1. Open the link

Tap the link in a post or a chat, or type the address. If it opens inside another app's own browser, choose "Open in Chrome" or "Open in Safari" so the game keeps its progress in your main browser.

  2. Add it to the home screen

In Chrome, open the menu and choose "Add to Home screen". In Safari, tap Share, then "Add to Home Screen". The game then opens from its own icon, usually without the browser's address bar.

  3. Mind your data

The first load is the heavy one: pictures and sound arrive once and the browser keeps them. Open a new game on Wi-Fi if you can, and later visits cost far less.

  4. Keep your progress safe

Private tabs and "clear browsing data" wipe what a browser game saved. If a game offers a save code or an account for a backup, use it before you change phones.

Where can you find more Nigerian browser games?

Oya Jam is a catalogue of browser games with a large shelf made in Nigeria, many added in October 2026, and it is where several games on this page were found. Each listing names the game's maker and links to the game itself, so you can see who made what before you play.

New games appear there every few days, and not all of them last. This page lists only games that loaded and could be played when we checked them on 7 October 2026.

Which of the best Nigerian browser games should you start with?

Start with whatever matches your mood. Danfo Run and Mama Put Rush take one tap and a few minutes. Naija Hustle suits a quiet half hour. Surviving Nigeria, Lagos Tycoon and Ibadan Life are worlds you return to with other players. Mai Suya sits between: short nights that build a stall over days.

Frequently asked questions

Can you add a browser game to your home screen?

Yes. On Android, Chrome's menu has "Add to Home screen"; on an iPhone, Safari's Share button has "Add to Home Screen". The game gets its own icon and usually opens without the address bar, like an app, without coming from a store.

Which of these games are multiplayer?

Surviving Nigeria, Lagos Tycoon and Ibadan Life put you in one shared world with the other players online. The rest of the games here are played mostly on your own.

Were there Lagos danfo games before 2026?

Yes. Technext traces them back to a danfo game by ChopUp in 2007, followed by mobile games such as Gidi Run and Danfo Racer, years before Danfo Run spread as a link.
