Why suya?

Suya is a popular Nigerian street food: spiced meat on sticks, grilled over charcoal, dusted with yaji and often served with sliced onion. At many stalls the mai suya works the grill into the night while the queue grows. The game tries to capture what it feels like to run that stall: hot, busy and fun.

Who else is behind it?

Made by the team behind Cá Viên Chiên (cavienchien.net), the Vietnamese fish ball stall game.

How is it made?

Mai Suya is an independent web game written in HTML, CSS and TypeScript that runs entirely in your browser, so it loads fast even on a weak mobile connection and needs nothing installed.
